On September 15th, 2009 you made your entrance into the world weighing in at 8lbs 6oz, just like your sister and measuring at 20 1/2 inches long. You were calm right from the start and cute as a button, hence the nickname. We'll see if it sticks! We had lots of visitors at the hospital, everyone wanted to get a peek at little you, especially your sister Grace. The first thing that she said to me when she first got to hold you was " Thanks momma, I love him." I was so nervous to have you, a boy, that I didn't really know what I would feel like coming home with a second baby and a boy at that, but all I felt was whole. like you were the piece of the puzzle that we didn't even know we were missing. It feels like you've always been here, and obviously were meant to be. We are not nearly as paranoid about you as we were about Grace, and you aren't really giving us any reason to be. You sleep very well and are taking a bottle every 2 to 3 hours with about 3 oz of formula. You are a very, very lazy burper however and we are anxiously looking for signs of the reflux that your sister had, I think you have it but I am trying not to be frantic about it. All in all having you here is so much easier and more wonderful than I thought it could be. Thanks Jack, for coming to me, I already couldn't imagine a world without you.
